Purpose
The following script assists airline check-in staff to inform passengers arriving in Australia from 2359 AEDST 28 March 2020, on their mandatory quarantine requirements.

Script
- The Australian Government has introduced a mandatory quarantine period of 14 days for all passengers arriving in Australia.
- Your quarantine period will be undertaken at your first Australian destination, at Government provided accommodation.
- You will not be permitted to travel domestically, including your home residence, or continue on any domestic connections until the mandatory quarantine period has been completed.
- When you arrive in Australia, you are required to follow all directions given to you by aircrew and Government officials.
- Upon arrival, you will be required to complete a form confirming that you understand your mandatory quarantine requirements.
- You will collect your luggage and go through the normal border clearance processes (customs, immigration, and biosecurity).
- Government officials will then direct you to buses that will take you to your accommodation.

The British Virgin Islands have imposed a complete lockdown which runs through to Thursday, April 2 at the earliest. All flights at TUPJ have been suspended until then, except for cargo and medevac flights (crew of cargo flights cannot leave the aircraft), and the airport opening hours are now only between 15-19z (11-15 local time) daily.
Due to COVID-19, for business/charter flight permit applications, a local government C.D.C sponsor letter is required to show the local government in order for acceptance on arrival.
Without the sponsor letter, CAAC will not approve the permit.
The crew will be quarantined for 14 days if they do overnight in China.
The crew must hold a C visa or services passport.
China has decided to temporarily suspend the entry into China by foreign nationals holding valid visas or residence permits because of the rapid global spread of COVID-19, according to an announcement by the Foreign Ministry and the National Immigration Administration on Thursday.
According to the announcement, entry by foreign nationals with APEC business travel cards will be suspended as well.
Policies including port visas, 24/72/144-hour visa-free transit policy, Hainan 30-day visa-free policy, 15-day visa-free policy specified for foreign cruise-group-tour through Shanghai Port, Guangdong 144-hour visa-free policy specified for foreign tour groups from Hong Kong or Macao SAR, and Guangxi 15-day visa-free policy specified for foreign tour groups of ASEAN countries will also be temporarily suspended.
Entry with diplomatic, service, courtesy of C visas will not be affected and foreign nationals coming to China for necessary economic, trade, scientific or technological activities or out of emergency humanitarian needs may apply for visas at Chinese embassies or consulates, as the announcement says.

Egypt has now suspended all international flights but is allowing tech stops, as well as cargo and repatriation flights. No specific mention of overflights, it appears these can continue. However, all international ops now require a permit from Egyptian authorities. HECC A0122/20.

The US FAA has extended its warning for the airspace over the Sinai Peninsula until 30th March 2021, at the earliest. As with other western countries, they advise against operating to airports in this region, as well as overflights below FL260 – if planning to do so, provide 3 days notice to the FAA.
There are some governmental restrictions in place which need to be respected. The French Authorities are paying close attention to the reasons for passengers visit to Nice. The Frontiers’ Police is in place upon arrival to control the motives of the visit to France. It is mandatory to prove ownership of your principal residence in either France or Monaco. In this case, a written declaration is required to certify that the passenger is coming to spend their quarantine days at their French or Monegasque home.
Due to the current flight activity at Nice Airport, all three handlers’ Police Control, passenger and crew screening is now performed at Terminal 2.
Note that this new set up will prolonge the arrival and departure processes.

Thousands of air passengers across the country are in limbo. The government has suspended all international and domestic air operations till April 14. Whether the air operations will resume post-April 14 remains uncertain even as the number of coronavirus cases in India continues to rise.
Every flyer wants to know if he/she would get a full refund on cancellation of her ticket.
India’s aviation regulator, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), has assured that it will try its best to protect the interest of passengers.
“We will take care of cancellation once the situation returns to normal,” Arun Kumar, Head, DGCA, told Outlook.
As of now, none of the airlines has offered to refund money. They have announced various options — from rescheduling dates to offering credit notes — on their social media accounts and websites.
Anxious passengers have been making frantic calls to airlines or the booking agencies for an update. Many passengers rue they fail to get through.
Airlines, on the other hand, say that an unexpected increase in calls and complaints have choked their system. They promise to protect customers’ interests in the best possible manner.
Passenger Flights originating from Italy, China (including Hongkong), Iran, South Korea, Spain, and Austria are prohibited to land at any destination in the EHAA FIR. Temporary travel restrictions are applicable for 30 days from 19 Mar – 18 Apr 2020.
CAA Philippines and Airport authorities implemented a closure of all Airports for General Aviation flights till 14 Apr 2020 except for medevac, military, and diplomatic flights.
Portugal banned most non-EU flights on Mar 19, but the government will now be closing all airports to commercial flights and banning domestic travel during the Easter weekend, Apr 9-13, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. During this period, only cargo flights or those repatriating citizens will be allowed to operate.
Saudi Arabia has clarified their situation: both domestic and international ops are suspended, overflights are OK, and tech stops and cargo ops are permitted. You can carry a Saudi alternate if needed. Evac flights are also OK, but approval needed from GACA beforehand. If you are operating to Saudi Arabia, a circular on their website https://gaca.gov.sa/ has a list of protocols that must be followed – most importantly, the foreign crew must remain on board, obtain clearance to disembark before opening doors.

- The false declaration will be deemed as a criminal offense in Singapore.
Passengers are not allowed to enter Switzerland.
- This does not apply to nationals or residents of Switzerland or Liechtenstein.
- This does not apply to the passenger with a cross-border commuter permit, with a C-visa issued by Switzerland for the purpose of “business meetings” as specialists in the field of health or “official visit” of great importance, with a D-visa issued by Switzerland or who have an assurance of a residence permit.

New birds on the scene in Bangkok include the Red-wattled lapwing, the Indian Roller, the Chinese pond heron, and a Centropus sinensis, which sounds ominous but translates to a little old Crow Pheasant. Houston (ZHU) went to ‘ATC Zero’ on Sunday, to allow the center to be cleaned after a COVID-19 outbreak – and remains non-operational. NY Oceanic also has some staffing related route restrictions that will be ongoing for some time, including not allowing direct routings west of 72W, see KZNY A0159/20. NY Tracon was also briefly closed Saturday night for cleaning, with all ops in the N90 (greater New York) area suspended.
